Quick answers for students, guardians and schools using MyBelt.

1

Students and guardians

Students and guardians use MyBelt, in the app or in the browser, to check in and follow their belts, promotions, attendance and certificates.

I'm a student. How do I access MyBelt?

Your account is created by your school: ask the front desk to register you with your email address. Then sign in to MyBelt with that email and choose your school. On your first access, create your password using the invitation link sent by email or the Forgot password option on the login screen.

I forgot my password

On the login screen, tap Forgot password and enter your email to receive a link to create a new password. If the message doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder and confirm with your school which email is on your registration.

My school doesn't show up or my access was denied

This happens when you haven't been registered yet, were registered with a different email, or your registration is inactive. Only your school can register, fix or reactivate your access — please talk to the front desk.

I can't check in

Check the following:

  • Location: allow MyBelt to access your location in your phone (or browser) settings and keep GPS turned on.
  • Distance: you need to be at the school, within the radius set by the school. If the signal is weak, wait a few seconds for your location to update.
  • Time: check-in is only available close to the class start time, within the window configured by the school.
  • Confirmation: after you check in, your attendance stays pending until the teacher confirms it.
  • Forgot to check in? In the app, you can request a check-in for a class you attended. The teacher reviews the request.
  • Payment notice: if the app shows an outstanding tuition payment, contact your school to sort it out.

How do I change my profile photo?

Open Profile and take a new photo or pick one from your gallery. Use a recent, well-lit photo showing only your face: your school may use it to recognize you at facial recognition check-in.

I'm not receiving notifications

Make sure notifications for MyBelt are allowed in your phone settings and that you are signed in to the app with your account. The notices you receive, such as confirmations and reminders, depend on how your school uses MyBelt.

I'm the guardian of an underage student

Your school links the dependent to your account. From then on, using your own login, you can follow their progress, upload their profile photo and check them in. If a dependent doesn't show up for you, ask your school to link them.

Tuition, classes, schedules and promotions

Fees, billing, class schedules, attendance confirmation and belt promotions are decided by your school. For these questions, please talk directly to the front desk or your teacher.

School owners and administrators

Schools are managed in the Admin panel: students, classes, attendance, promotions and settings.

Where can I find help in the Admin panel?

In the Admin panel, open the Help Center to replay the guided tutorial for each screen and follow the getting-started steps for setting up your school.

How do I contact MyBelt support?

Email suporte@mybelt.app, preferably from a school administrator's email address. Include the school name, its MyBelt address (for example, yourschool.mybelt.app) and, if possible, screenshots of the issue.

My students can't sign in

Check in the Admin panel that the student is registered with the correct email and that the registration is active: that's the email they use to sign in to the app and create their password. You can also share this page with your students.

Subscription, suspension and reactivation

The rules for billing, suspension due to inactivity or non-payment, and school reactivation are in our Terms of Service. If you have questions, contact suporte@mybelt.app.

Account and personal data deletion

You can request the deletion of your MyBelt account and your personal data at any time — this is one of the rights described in our Privacy Policy. You don't need the app installed to make the request.

How to request it

  1. In the app: open Profile → Delete account and confirm. Your request reaches our team right away and you get an email confirming we received it — to include your dependents' data, just reply to that email.
  2. By email: write to privacy@mybelt.app with the subject “Account deletion”, preferably from the email address used in your account. Include your name and the school (or schools) where you are registered.
  3. Through your school: ask your school's administration to forward your deletion request to MyBelt.
  4. Dependents: guardians can request, through the same channels, the deletion of data belonging to minors under their responsibility.

To protect your account, we may ask you to confirm the request before completing the deletion.

What happens to your data

  • Timeline: we acknowledge your request and complete the deletion within 15 days.
  • Deleted: account data (name, email, phone and password), profile photo, facial biometric data, notification tokens and student profile data. All sessions are ended.
  • Anonymized: attendance, belt promotions and certificates remain in the school's records, but no longer identify you.
  • Kept as required by law: payment records and tax documents (5 years) and access logs (6 months) are stored with restricted access and then deleted.
  • Your MyBelt account is the same across all schools you are linked to. Deleting it ends your access to MyBelt at all of them.
  • Facial recognition data is automatically deleted when the profile photo is removed.
  • School owners: deleting an entire school follows a different rule, described in the School Data Retention section of the Privacy Policy — 30 days after a voluntary cancellation, all of the school's data is permanently deleted, including backups.

See all the rules — including backups, dependents and the fact that deletion cannot be undone — in the Deleting Your Account section of the Privacy Policy.
